Terry L. Janssen
Biography
Dr. Terry Janssen is a seasoned leader with decades of experience in artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, and cloud systems engineering. As the President and CEO of AI4ROI, Dr. Janssen focuses on leveraging AI and big data to maximize return on advertising spend (ROAS) for businesses, harnessing innovative solutions to enhance conversion rates and ad campaign effectiveness.
For a branch of the company, AI4Profit, he spearheads the development of products and services aimed at increasing business profitability through AI-driven strategies. His work focuses on helping businesses—both startups and established corporations—achieve prosperity by optimizing advertising performance, streamlining operations, and increasing revenue with machine learning and AI.
Dr. Janssen is also a Board Member of Prosperity4.Us, where he advocates for the long-term prosperity of U.S. citizens by supporting initiatives such as the ratification of a constitutional amendment to balance the national budget.
Driven by a passion for social impact, Dr. Janssen founded and leads AI for Good Squared Inc. (AI4Good2), a non-profit dedicated to using AI technology to uplift the world’s most impoverished populations. In partnership with international organizations like Cross International, Adopt-a-Village aims to help lift up the bottom one percent (1%) in Africa and Haiti, and other countries, to have the opportunity to compete globally. AI4Good2 applies advanced AI solutions to empower these marginalized communities.
Prior to his current roles, Dr. Janssen made significant contributions as a Senior Data/AI Scientist at Invictus, where he led AI and quantum computing initiatives in the Department of Defense’s Chief Technology Office (CTO) until his retirement in 2023. His career also includes serving as Chief Scientist for Cybersecurity at SAIC, where he advanced cybersecurity protocols for the U.S. government, and a distinguished tenure at Lockheed Martin, where he earned the company’s prestigious technical excellence award for his work on AI-based reasoning systems.
Earlier in his career, Dr. Janssen held senior scientist roles at Argonne National Laboratory and CSC, receiving an award for developing AI-driven systems for national security and network management.
In addition to his leadership in AI ventures, Dr. Janssen is the creator of DiscoveryAID™, a comprehensive software suite designed to support machine learning and AI development. Owned by his private company, Janssen LLC, this tool enhances team collaboration and productivity across AI projects.
Dr. Janssen holds an M.S. in Computer Science from Boston University and a Ph.D. in Information Technology (AI) from George Mason University. He has authored over 50 publications and presented at numerous global conferences, including the World Summit on AI in Amsterdam. His work continues to shape the future of AI across industries, from defense to humanitarian efforts.
